Hi, I’m Magic Mel—the mom, wife, full-time nurse, and creative heart behind Magic Treasures by Mom.

Magic Treasures by Mom was born from a deeply personal journey of love, hope, and holiday magic. When my son was four years old, he was still nonverbal due to his apraxia of speech. During that time, I discovered the Elf on the Shelf tradition—and something truly special happened. Although he couldn’t speak, I saw the pure joy and wonder in his eyes each morning as he searched for his Elf. It became our magical way of connecting without words, and quickly turned into a cherished tradition in our home.

As a mom to a child with special needs, I understand that many children—especially those with sensory or developmental differences—long to engage and interact with the world around them in hands-on ways. My son always wanted to touch his elf, to explore and play. That inspired me to create a version of the Elf on the Shelf experience that is both interactive and inclusive while also keeping the same traditions for those without special needs.

Our Elf kits are uniquely designed to include not just adorable daily scenes, but also STEM-based activities that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on fun. These kits are thoughtfully crafted for all children. Every detail is designed to bring families closer through play, discovery, and the magic of the season.
